There are approximately 100 types of Human Papillomavirus or HPV. It is quite common and can affect many parts of the body. There are about 13 types that are considered high risk and these are among 30 of the ones that affect the genitals of men and women. The 13 types of Papilloma virus are linked to cervical cancer for women.

This virus is much more common than most people realize.

About 20 million people are prone to an active HPV infection at various times and new cases each year in the U.S. alone are about 5.5 million. The most amazing thing about the HPV Virus is that,

80% to 90% of the population is infected at one time or another, but many never know they have this virus.

Certain types of HPV Virus can cause a variety of problems. HPV warts in men and women can occur. The virus can also cause warts to appear in the throat. This is called recurrent papillomatosis or RRP.

In addition, the virus can cause cervical cancer as well as cancer of the anus, penis, vagina, neck and head including the throat, tonsils and tongue. The type of HPV that causes cancer is different from the type that causes genital warts.

Since there are so many types of HPV Virus and the fact that it is possible to contract more than one type at the same time, the importance of the immune system cannot be overstated.

A healthy immune system can fight the HPV Virus by producing antibodies that attach themselves to the virus and destroy it. This is also crucial since the Papillomavirus has no known cure. This virus is so common that at the least 50% of men and women who are sexually active get HPV at one time or another over their lifetime.

Another alarming fact is that approximately 12, 000 women in the U.S. get cervical cancer each year. Although a high percentage of cancers of the neck and head are related to smoking and drinking, there are about 2300 women and 9000 men who get this type of cancer each year. This type of cancer can also be caused by the Human Papillomavirus.

What can be done to boost the immune system and fight this virus that can cause so many different problems?

Although there are conventional drugs that can be beneficial to the immune system, such as Zovirax and Valtrex, the main purpose of these drugs is to stop the HPV Virus from reproducing. They do this by altering the virus DNA.

However, they cannot distinguish between good DNA or the virus DNA, which means good DNA is stopped from producing as well. This is detrimental to those who have immune problems as well as those who do not.

Larrea tridentata is a natural immune enhancing discovery that has shown to be quite effective and maybe even more so than conventional drugs in supporting and building the immune system. The ingredients in the Larrea Tridentata plant help to boost the immune system to do what it does naturally. In addition, it limits the virus.

Studies have shown the plant can also provide a vast array of antioxidants that are not found in diets today and are very necessary. Antioxidants inhibit the destructive effects of oxidation.
